EveryTask legal
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of EveryTask’s website, free PDF tools and document workspace (the “Service”).
Last updated: 12 August 2026
1. Agreement and scope
By creating an account, choosing a plan, starting a checkout session or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use EveryTask for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept them for that organization. In that case, “you” includes the organization and its authorized users.
The agreement includes these Terms, the plan, price and billing period shown at checkout or on an invoice, and the Data Processing Addendum if it has been executed. A signed order form controls if it expressly conflicts with these Terms for the matter it addresses.
Contracting entity and notices
These Terms are between you and BIY, LLC, the provider of EveryTask, at 5900 Balcones Drive #28242, Austin, TX 78731, USA. Notices for EveryTask may be sent to hello@everytask.io unless a signed order form gives another notice address.
2. Accounts, workspaces and authorized users
You must provide accurate account information, keep your email account secure and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity through your account and for the actions of people you invite into a workspace.
Workspace owners and administrators may control members, projects, billing and connected services. If you join an organization’s workspace using a work email address, the organization may administer your access and the content held in that workspace. Do not use an organization-controlled email address if you do not want that organization to manage the account.
3. Service, free features and third parties
EveryTask may provide free tools, trial features and experimental features. Free and experimental features are offered as available and may be changed or withdrawn. Paid features are provided according to the plan you select, subject to these Terms.
Some features may connect with a third-party service, such as Google Drive or Stripe. Your use of that service is governed by its own terms and privacy information. When you choose to connect it, you authorize EveryTask to exchange the information needed to provide that connection. We are not responsible for a third-party service outside our reasonable control.
4. Customer Content and confidentiality
You retain your rights in the documents, files, templates, comments and other material you upload or create in a workspace (“Customer Content”). You grant EveryTask the limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, process, transmit and display Customer Content only to provide, secure, maintain and support the Service.
You are responsible for Customer Content and for having the permissions, notices and lawful basis needed to upload it, invite collaborators, request signatures and send review links. Each party will protect the other’s non-public confidential information with reasonable care and use it only to perform this agreement, except where disclosure is required by law.
5. Your licence and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms, EveryTask gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. EveryTask and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted.
You must not: resell or unlawfully make the Service available to others; interfere with or bypass security or access controls; reverse engineer the Service except where law prohibits that restriction; use automated means that overload the Service; share an account contrary to your plan; upload malicious code; or use the Service to violate law or another person’s rights. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect people, Customer Content or the Service.
6. Electronic communications and signatures
You agree that notices, billing messages, security messages and other Service communications may be provided electronically, including through the email address associated with your account or in the Service. Marketing communications are subject to applicable consent requirements and any available unsubscribe choice.
When you use EveryTask to request, provide or manage a signature, you consent to use electronic records and signatures for that transaction. You remain responsible for determining whether electronic signing is suitable for the document, obtaining any required consent, and retaining any copy you need. EveryTask records signing and review activity to operate the Service and provide an audit history; it does not provide legal advice or guarantee enforceability in every jurisdiction.
You must not forge a signature, impersonate a signer, use another person’s signing link or one-time code, or falsely represent that you have authority to sign or send a document. A sender confirms that they are authorized to send the document and nominate each signer. Where EveryTask verifies an emailed one-time code, it verifies control of that email inbox only; it does not verify legal identity, authority, capacity, notarization or qualified-signature status. We may suspend access and preserve relevant audit records where we reasonably suspect fraudulent use.
7. Fees, billing and taxes
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval selected at checkout unless canceled before renewal. Current prices, billing intervals and included features are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. You authorize Stripe and EveryTask to charge the applicable subscription fees and taxes using the payment method you provide.
Stripe handles payment credentials; EveryTask does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes based on EveryTask’s net income. We may change prices for a future renewal period by giving reasonable notice.
8. Cancellation, termination and your content
You may cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and ends paid access, but does not itself delete the account or Customer Content. If a workspace moves to a plan with lower limits, creation may be restricted until it is within those limits or the plan changes.
You should keep your own copies of important documents. Before closing an account, download Customer Content you need. On termination, access may end and Customer Content may be deleted in accordance with the Service’s retention processes, subject to legal obligations and limited protected backup retention. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach, fraud, non-payment or to meet a legal or security obligation.
9. Privacy and data processing
The company privacy policy applies to personal data collected across the company’s products and services. When you use a workspace for an organization, you generally determine the purposes for which Customer Content containing personal data is used, and EveryTask processes that content on your documented instructions to provide the Service.
The Data Processing Addendum contains additional processor terms for customers that need them. It is effective only when an authorized customer representative accepts it as described on that page.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Except where these Terms expressly say otherwise, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every legal, regulatory or business purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data or business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Claims about Customer Content
You will defend and indemnify EveryTask against third-party claims arising from Customer Content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your material breach of these Terms, to the extent caused by you. We will promptly notify you of a claim, allow you reasonable control of the defense, and provide reasonable cooperation at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations on EveryTask without our written consent.
12. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice through the Service or email before it applies, unless a faster change is required for legal, security or operational reasons. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel before the change takes effect.
Neither party is responsible for a delay caused by events outside its reasonable control. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; EveryTask may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement about the Service, except for documents expressly incorporated above.
