What it changes
Complete the document without breaking the paper trail.
A form does not need to be printable to be practical. If the PDF already has form fields, those fields can be completed directly. If it is a scanned form or a static document, text, marks, dates and a signature can be placed where the form expects them. The finished PDF is still a single document that can be kept with the rest of the client work.
Filling and signing is different from sending a signature request. This feature is for the person completing a form themselves. When a contract needs to be sent to other recipients for completion and tracked as a request, the document can move into the signature workflow once its final version is ready.

Can I sign a PDF without printing it?
Yes. Create a workspace, then draw, type or upload a signature image and place it on the page before saving or downloading the completed PDF.
Will existing PDF form fields still work?
When a PDF has real fillable fields, the editor detects them so you can type into the intended places and keep the file fillable.
Can I add text to a scanned form?
Yes. A scanned form may not contain interactive fields, but you can place text, dates, ticks and signatures anywhere on the page.
Is filling a form the same as requesting signatures from clients?
No. Fill and sign is for completing a document yourself. A signature request is the workflow for sending the final document to other recipients and following its status.
