Removing a page is simple. Removing the right page is the work. A scanned PDF can contain blank backs, duplicate pages, cover sheets or supporting material that belongs in a different version of the document. Seeing every page before deletion makes it much less likely that a useful schedule or signature page disappears by mistake.
This is especially useful when preparing a focused PDF for a client, colleague or application. You can remove what they do not need while preserving the source document on your device. The downloaded file is a new copy, not a destructive edit to the original.
These actions solve different document problems and should not be treated as interchangeable.
| What needs to happen | Use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The entire page should not be included | Delete pages | The output no longer contains that page |
| Sensitive words or an image must not be recoverable | Redact PDF | Redaction removes selected content while keeping the page |
| You need a separate file containing some pages | Split PDF | The original stays intact and a new extract is created |
If confidential information appears on only part of a page, deleting the page may remove too much. Use real redaction for that case rather than drawing a shape over the content.
A clean output is useful when it has a clear audience: the appendix-free version for a client, a short extract for a reviewer, or the document with blank scans removed. Give the exported copy a meaningful name so it is not confused with the source later.
It cannot hide part of a page. When only a name, address or clause must be removed, use the redaction tool so the sensitive content is removed from the PDF itself.
It does not automatically decide which pages are redundant. The editor puts the page thumbnails in front of you so the decision remains visible and reversible until you download.
Use the tool above for free, or keep the document in an EveryTask workspace when the work needs a next step.
Yes. Use the page controls for every page that should not appear in the new document.
Yes. Open the scan, select the blank page in the thumbnail rail and remove it before downloading.
No. The original stays on your device. You download a separate edited copy.
Delete an entire page only when the whole page should be absent. Redact when confidential content appears within a page that still needs to remain in the document.
Everything you need to take a document from raw file to reviewed, signed and filed.
