EveryTask

For client-facing work

Request review without asking clients to create an account

Give clients a simple review link for the document in front of them. Their feedback, the revision that follows and the earlier version stay in the client project.

Clients use a review link. They do not need an EveryTask workspace account.

What it changes

Make feedback specific to the file.

Client review is useful when the document is still open to change: a proposal, campaign plan, design proof, report or scope. The client needs to react to a particular version, and the team needs to understand which page or decision that reaction concerns. A review link makes the document the center of the conversation instead of treating the PDF as one attachment in a long email chain.

That is deliberately different from approval and signature. Review is for questions, comments and requested changes. Once the document is settled, the team can take it to an explicit decision or signature step. Keeping those stages distinct avoids treating an informal “looks good” as proof that somebody approved or executed an agreement.

The capability

More than one action on a file

01

A link to the selected document

Share the version you intend the client to see, rather than asking them to identify the newest attachment.

02

Feedback in context

Keep comments and requested changes connected to the document instead of rebuilding meaning from an inbox.

03

Versions that explain the change

Save the revision without erasing the draft that the client originally reviewed.

04

One client project

Keep the brief, proposal, review copy and final document near each other for future context.

05

A visible next step

The document owner can see review activity and decide whether to revise, approve or prepare a signature request.

06

No forced portal adoption

Clients can open the link and respond without being asked to join the agency workspace.

Useful when

Use review while the document is still open.

A proposal needs client questions

Use review while scope, timing, deliverables or price may still change. It keeps the commercial discussion attached to the actual proposal.

A proof needs concrete feedback

Use a review link for a design proof, campaign plan or report when the client needs to point to the document instead of writing an ambiguous email.

A colleague may need context later

A retained review trail helps the next account lead understand which version the client saw and why the document changed.

How it works

Start with the document. Keep the context.

  1. 01

Put the working PDF or generated document in the relevant client project.

  2. 02

Check the current version, then share a review link with the client.

  3. 03

Resolve the feedback, save the next version and move to approval or signature when it is ready.

Questions, answered

Using this capability with confidence.

Does a client need an EveryTask account to review a document?

No. A client can open the review link and respond to the document without creating a workspace account.

Is client review the same as approval?

No. Review is for feedback and revisions. Approval is an explicit decision on a version that is ready to stand behind.

Can the document change after the client reviews it?

Yes. Save the updated document as a new version so the review copy and the revision both remain understandable.

Can a reviewed document later be signed?

Yes. Once feedback is resolved and the final version is ready, request signature from the same document record.

When the work needs to stay

Put the document in a workspace.

A review link is simple for the client, but the workspace preserves the document, the response and the revisions for the team that has to act on them.
